Tuber Uncinatum Chatin
Harvest period: from 1st October to 15th March
The black hooked truffle looks very similar to the summer truffle, from which it is distinguished by the ripening period. In fact, the harvest goes from October 1st to March 15th, which is why it is defined as a late truffle.
The gleba is hazelnut in color, sometimes particularly dark, with internal veins tending to white. It has a very strong aroma and a stronger character than the scorzone (summer).
It is harvested in broad-leaved woods, on predominantly clayey or humus-rich soils.
